It’s the eighth week of the quarantine for me right now. Having been locked in my own home for over 50 days, I’ve had quite a fair bit of time to think about the things I’d like to do with squashgearreviews.com. One thing I’m really excited to reveal is that I’ve built a simple, easy to navigate squash racket directory, featuring a huge amount of squash rackets currently on sale.
I’ve always wanted to find a simple way of searching for rackets by their weight, shape, balance and brand – hopefully this does the trick!
Low and behold, please now cast your eyes to the top of the website. You should hopefully see ‘Squash Racket Directory‘ appear in the top of the menu. This is all so exciting!
I’ve spent some serious time and energy over the past few days building a backlog of squash rackets onto the library. I’ve scoured the internet to find a consistent set of specifications for each racket. At the moment I’ve included what I believe are the ‘big four’ brands of rackets on the market at present – Dunlop, Tecnifibre, Eye and Head. Over the next few days I’ll be significantly increase the size of the library to feature brands such as Salming, Ashaway, Prince and more.
I’m also hoping to incorporate shoes and other equipment into the directory. From there onwards I’ll be able to link professional squash players to their equipment, so for instance you’ll be able to search ‘Mohamed Elshorbagy’, and it will show you all the equipment he uses. What a time to be alive!
